Frosted Mocha Brownies
- 3 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
- 1 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 4 eggs, well beaten
- 2 Tbsp. instant coffee
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
- Grease 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
- Blend melted chocolate with coffee; set aside to cool.
- Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.
- Cream butter with vanilla extract until butter is softened.
- Add sugar gradually, creaming until fluffy, after each addition.
- Add beaten eggs in thirds, beating thoroughly after each addition.
- Blend in cooled chocolate, beating only until smooth after each addition.
- Add dry ingredients in thirds. Stir in nuts.
- Pour into pan.
- Bake in 350u0b0 oven for 40 minutes.
