Texas Sombreros
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. steak sauce
- 1 to 2 chili powder
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
- 2 c. (1 lb. can) tomatoes
- 1 tsp. sugar
- shredded lettuce
- chopped tomato
- grated cheese
- large corn chips
- Melt butter in skillet, saute celery, onion, green pepper and cook until tender.
- Add meat, salt, pepper, steak sauce and chili powder.
- Brown.
- Add canned tomatoes, tomato sauce and sugar. Simmer 30 minutes until thick.
- Serve over corn chips, topped with cheese, lettuce and tomatoes.
