Moms Famous BBQ Pulled Chicken

  1. Brown chicken for four minutes on each side in one tablespoon of hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Remove from heat and place in a slow cooker.
  3. Combine ketchup and next six ingredients.
  4. Pour over chicken.
  5. Cover and cook on high for one hour.
  6. Reduce heat to low, and cook five to six hours.
  7. Remove chicken from sauce and then shred it into a large bowl, using your hands.
  8. Stir shredded chicken back into the sauce.
  9. Spoon mixture onto buns, serve over a salad, or coleslaw.
