Cannoli tart - easy and AMAZING!
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/3 cup cold butter
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp milk
- 2 cup sifted flour
- 2 1/4 cup ricotta
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp sugar
- 2 tsp amaretto
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 350F
- Mix all dry crust ingredients in a food processor and pulse a couple times.
- Add butter and pulse until small pea sized balls are formed.
- Add liquids into the mixture and mix until a dough is formed.
- Roll dough between two parchment papers to desired thickness but enough to cover the mold, and place on a well greased pie or tart pan.
- Refrigerate while making the filling.
- In the washed food processor mix all the ingredients for the filling except the chocolate chips.
- Once mixed, pour mixture on top of the refrugerated crust and then sprinkle the chocolate chips all over the filling.
- Bake pie for 25-35 minutes or until the filling had puffed and the crust is golden.
- Let pie cool down, serve and enjoy!
