Zesty Cocktail Meatballs
- 1 jar (12 Ounce Jar) Grape Jelly
- 1 jar 12 Ounce Jar, Chili Sauce, Such As Heinz
- 4 Tablespoons Taco Seasoning
- 1 cup Bread Crumbs
- 2 Tablespoons Dried Onion Flakes
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1/4 teaspoons Nutmeg
- Kosher Salt And Ground White Pepper
- 1/2 cups Milk
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 3/4 pounds Lean Ground Beef
- 1/2 pounds Lean Ground Pork
- 1 whole Large Egg, Beaten
- 1 Tablespoon Canola Oil
- In a bowl mix the grape jelly with the chili sauce and taco seasoning.
- Pour into a medium-sized slow cooker and turn heat on low.
- Place all the ingredients for the meatballs (except the oil) in a large bowl and mix until combined.
- Start rolling the meatballs.
- I make mine small for this recipe so I would say a little smaller than a golf ball.
- Heat a large non-stick skillet with the oil over medium-high heat.
- Brown the meatballs on each side.
- You wont be cooking them all the way through, just searing the outside.
- Remove them from the skillet and set place in the slow cooker, gently mixing to coat them in sauce.
- Put the lid on and cook on low for 4-5 hours.
- Serve with toothpicks.
