Yule Pudding

  1. Cream shortening, spices, peels, molasses, salt and sugar. Add eggs and beat well.
  2. Add carrots, apples and lemon juice. Sift flour with baking powder and soda.
  3. Add to creamed mixture with milk.
  4. Add currants and nuts.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Fill well-greased pudding mold 2/3 full.
  7. Cover and steam for 2 hours.
  8. Serve warm with Fluffy Hard Sauce.
