Zion's Gumdrop Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Cream shortening and sugars.
  3. Blend in eggs, salt, vanilla and soda.
  4. Slowly stir in flour.
  5. With wooden spoon (because of stickiness)stir in chopped gumdrops and nuts.
  6. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet and bake just until set.
  7. Do not over bake.
  8. I found that using a silpat is very helpful with this recipe.
