Red cabbage and pork
- 1 large onion
- 3 dash maple sirup
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 red cabbage
- 1/4 cup stock or water
- Preheat over at 300F
- Slice onions in half slices
- Melt-golden onions in butter or oil or duck fat
- Cut cabbage in quarters and remove hearts.
- Slice cabbage thinly
- Push onions on the side and cook meat until golden
- Incorporate onions and meat
- Add pepper, salt and a piece of star anise or "carvi" seeds
- Add the cabbage and cook for 5 min
- Add a few spoons of soya and dashes of maple syrup and the stock
- Put in oven for an hour - hour and a half
- After 30 minutes, stir and add a few spoons of water, just enough to keep wet
- Serve with green or to keep in the comfy zone, serve with sauteed mushrooms and potatoes
