Parmesan-Green Onion Scones

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Lightly spray a cookie sheet with cooking spray.
  3. In a small skillet heat olive oil over medium high heat.
  4. Quickly saute the green onions for 3 minutes.
  5. Remove and stir in black pepper.
  6. In a medium mixing bowl combine the Bisquick and 1 cup of Parmesan cheese, stir to incorporate.
  7. In a small mixing bowl whisk together the egg and 1/3 cup heavy cream.
  8. Stir the onion into the egg mixture.
  9. Stir the onion and egg mixture into the Bisquick/Cheese mixture until a soft dough forms.
  10. Roll out onto a lightly floured surface (use Bisquick) and knead 10 times.
  11. Place on prepared cookie sheet and pat into a 8-inch round.
  12. Cut round into eight wedges-do not separate.
  13. Brush top with remaining heavy cream, sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese.
  14. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden.
  15. Remove and re-cut wedges.
  16. Serve warm.
