Steamed silken tofu with fried onion
- 1 silken tofu (use extra smooth type for steaming)
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- 4 small onions, sliced
- 1 bunch spring onion, chopped into small bit
- 1 red chilli, remove seed and sliced (please wear glove!)
- 1 tbsp light soya sauce
- Place silken tofu carefully on plate.
- Leave it for awhile and absorb any water on the plate with paper towel.
- Decorate tofu with enough chilli and spring onion.
- Heat cooking oil in frying pan using low heat.
- Stir fry onion till browned.
- Add fried onion and its oil onto tofu.
- Add light soya sauce onto tofu.
- Steam tofu for 10 minutes.
- Ready to serve with rice.
