Awesomely Special Cheesesteaks
- 8 ounces sandwich steaks, thinly sliced (like steakums or fresh from butcher)
- 1 cup slice onion (thick or thin)
- 1 lb sliced mushrooms
- 12 teaspoon season salt (your choice)
- 1 bell pepper, sliced (optional I don't use it) (optional)
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- salt and pepper
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 2 tablespoons sliced pepperoncini peppers
- 4 ounces sliced pepperoni
- 12 lb shredded mozzarella cheese or 8 slices provolone cheese
- in large non stick pan over medium high heat cook steaks broken up until barely pink add pepperoni and peppercini peppers.
- in separate saute pan heat butter and oil over medium heat and saute onions and mushrooms and peppers until translucent onions or al dente if preffered.
- season onion mix with salt and pepper and meat with season salt.
- heat hoagie rolls in microwave or oven to toast if prefered.
- place cheese in rolls either 2 oz of monzerella or 2 slices provalone on each side of roll.
- then add desired amount of onion mixture to each roll and equal amounts of meat mixture.
- can heat further in oven or microwave to melt cheese and serve.
