Apple And Rosemary Strudel Recipe

  1. Preheat the oven to 200C/400F/gas mark 6.
  2. Whisk the egg, water and oil together.
  3. Place the flour in a bowl and make a well in the centre.
  4. Gradually add in the egg mix to create a dough.
  5. Knead the dough and beat out on a work surface till it becomes soft and elastic.
  6. Leave to rest for 15 min.
  7. Take the filling ingredients and mix together.
  8. Roll out the pastry into a rectangle and then using your hands, stretch it out on a clean tea towel till it becomes very thin.
  9. Spread all over with melted butter.
  10. Sprinke over the apple mix and roll up like a swiss roll using the towel to help you.
  11. Transfer to a baking sheet and shape.
  12. Brush with melted nbutter and bake for 40 min.
