Broccoli And Cheese Pasties(Penny'S Health Favorite)
- 1 large bunch broccoli, cut into florets
- 1 1/2 c. packed grated sharp Cheddar cheese (about 6 oz.)
- 1/2 c. thinly sliced green onions
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. chopped fresh dill
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1 (15 oz.) pkg. ready pie crust, room temperature
- Preheat oven to 400u0b0.
- Steam broccoli.
- Cool.
- Mix with next 4 ingredients in medium bowl.
- Season with pepper.
- Unfold crusts and cut them in half, making 4 half circles.
- Mold 1/4 of the filling on half of each pastry, press filling until it is compact. Brush pasties with glaze.
- Fold the second half of the pastry over.
- Press into triangles.
- Using a fork, crimp the pasties and pierce several times.
- Place on large baking sheet.
- Brush with glaze.
- Bake for 22 minutes and let stand.
- Makes 2 servings.
