Green Stuffed Peppers Recipe
- 2 med. green bell peppers
- 1/3 pound grnd beef
- 1 teaspoon chopped onion
- 1/3 c. tomato paste
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon chili pwdr
- 4 drops warm pepper sauce
- Dash of pepper
- 1/4 c. instant rice
- 2 ounce. shredded cheddar cheese
- Cheese for garnish
- Wash peppers, remove tops, seeds and membranes.
- Parboil in salted boiling water 5-6 min; drain.
- Brown beef with onion in skillet.
- Drain off fat.
- Stir in tomato paste, water, salt, Worcestershire sauce, chili pwdr, pepper sauce and pepper; cover and bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in rice and cheese.
- Let stand, covered, for 5 min.
- Divide mix between peppers, upright in baking dish.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 25 min.
