Mocha Brownie Torte Recipe
- 1 (15.5 ounce.) pkg. of our fudge brownie mix
- 1/4 c. water
- 2 Large eggs
- 1/2 c. finely minced nuts
- 1 1/2 c. chilled whipping cream
- 1/3 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1 tbsp. powdered instant coffee
- Shaved chocolate
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease and flour 2 layer pans, 9 x 1 1/2 inches.
- Blend brownie mix (dry), water, and Large eggs.
- Stir in nuts.
- Spread in pans.
- Bake 20 min.
- Cold 5 min in pans; remove from pans and place on wire racks to cold completely.
- In chilled bowl, beat cream till it begins to thicken.
- Gradually add in sugar and instant coffee; continue beating till stiff.
- Fill layers with 1 c. of the cream mix.
- Frost with remaining cream mix; sprinkle with chocolate.
- Refrigerateat least 1 hour.
- 10 to 12 servings.
- 3 c. frzn whipped topping (thawed) can be substituted for the whipping cream and sugar.
