Mocha Brownie Torte Recipe

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease and flour 2 layer pans, 9 x 1 1/2 inches.
  3. Blend brownie mix (dry), water, and Large eggs.
  4. Stir in nuts.
  5. Spread in pans.
  6. Bake 20 min.
  7. Cold 5 min in pans; remove from pans and place on wire racks to cold completely.
  8. In chilled bowl, beat cream till it begins to thicken.
  9. Gradually add in sugar and instant coffee; continue beating till stiff.
  10. Fill layers with 1 c. of the cream mix.
  11. Frost with remaining cream mix; sprinkle with chocolate.
  12. Refrigerateat least 1 hour.
  13. 10 to 12 servings.
  14. 3 c. frzn whipped topping (thawed) can be substituted for the whipping cream and sugar.
