Alternative Oatmeal Raisin Cookies Recipe
- 1 c. Butter, room temperature (2 sticks)
- 1 1/4 c. Packed golden sugar
- 1/2 c. Sugar
- 2 lrg Large eggs
- 2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 c. All purpose flour
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 12 ounce Chocolate chips
- 2 c. Old-fashioned oats
- 1 c. Raisins
- 1/2 c. Oat bran
- Preheat oven to 375F.
- using electric mixer, beat butter and both sugars in large bowl till smooth and creamy.
- Add in Large eggs and vanilla and beat till blended.
- Sift flour, baking soda and salt into small bowl; stir into butter mix.
- Add in chocolate chips, oats, raisins, and oat bran and stir till well blended.
- Working in batches, drop batter by heaping tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake cookies till golden brown but still soft to touch, about 12 min.
- Cold cookies on baking sheets.
- MAKES ABOUT 5 DOZEN.
