Marinated Steak Sandwich
- 2-1/2 qt. KRAFT Light Italian Reduced Fat Dressing
- 10 each beef flank steaks (1 lb. each) Safeway 1 lb For $5.99 thru 02/09
- 2-1/2 qt. onions, sliced King Sooper's 1 lb For $0.99 thru 02/09
- 2-1/2 qt. fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 2/3 cup butter
- 40 each Italian bread rolls (4 inch), partially split
- 1-1/4 qt. shredded low moisture part skim milk mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese
- Pour dressing evenly over steaks in 2 hotel pans (or1 half hotel pan for trial recipe).
- Cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight to marinate.
- Saute onions and mushrooms in butter until tender; set aside.
- Remove steaks from marinade; discard marinade.
- Broil or grill steaks 9 min.
- on each side or until cooked through.
- Cut diagonally across the grain into thin slices.
- Combine cheeses.
- For each serving: Fill roll with 3 oz.
- steak, 1/2 cup vegetable mixture and about 2 Tbsp.
- of the cheese mixture.
- Return to broiler or grill.
- Broil until cheese is melted.
- Serve warm.
