Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Heat oven to 375u0b0.
  2. In large bowl, combine brown sugar, sugar, butter and shortening; beat until fluffy.
  3. Add vanilla and egg. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt, mixing it well.
  4. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
  5. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  6. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Cool 1 minute and remove from cookie sheet. Makes 4 dozen.
