Cheese And Ham Strudel
- 4 oz. ham, finely chopped
- 1 c. shredded Swiss cheese
- 1/2 c. crumbled blue cheese
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
- Preheat oven to 425u0b0.
- Grease a baking sheet.
- Mix ham, Swiss and blue cheeses, celery and pepper together.
- Prepare pastry by unfolding on a 20 inch long sheet of waxed paper.
- Using a rolling pin, roll pastry into a 15 X 9 inch rectangle.
- Spread filling lengthwise in a 5 inch strip down center of pastry within 2 inches of edges.
- Fold pastry over filling to enclose, folding in short sides first.
- Place strudel, seam side down, on baking sheet. Remove waxed paper.
- Brush strudel with melted butter.
- Bake until lightly golden, about 10 minutes.
- Reduce oven temperature to 375u0b0. Bake until golden brown, 30 minutes more.
- Transfer baking sheet to a wire rack to cool slightly.
