Cheese And Ham Strudel

  1. Preheat oven to 425u0b0.
  2. Grease a baking sheet.
  3. Mix ham, Swiss and blue cheeses, celery and pepper together.
  4. Prepare pastry by unfolding on a 20 inch long sheet of waxed paper.
  5. Using a rolling pin, roll pastry into a 15 X 9 inch rectangle.
  6. Spread filling lengthwise in a 5 inch strip down center of pastry within 2 inches of edges.
  7. Fold pastry over filling to enclose, folding in short sides first.
  8. Place strudel, seam side down, on baking sheet. Remove waxed paper.
  9. Brush strudel with melted butter.
  10. Bake until lightly golden, about 10 minutes.
  11. Reduce oven temperature to 375u0b0. Bake until golden brown, 30 minutes more.
  12. Transfer baking sheet to a wire rack to cool slightly.
