Potato Doughnuts

  1. Stir
  2. confectioners sugar, water and vanilla.
  3. Dissolve yeast in water.
  4. Combine milk, shortening, sugar and salt into the scalded
  5. milk.
  6. Stir in yeast, potato and egg.
  7. Gradually add flour
  8. to
  9. make
  10. soft
  11. dough.
  12. Turn onto floured surface. Knead until
  13. soft.
  14. Place
  15. in greased bowl.
  16. Turn so that all sides
  17. are greased.
  18. Cover.
  19. Let
  20. rise for 1 1/2 hours.
  21. Take out
  22. and
  23. roll out to 1/2-inch thick.
  24. Cut and let dough rise again.
  25. Then cut doughnuts and drop in 375u0b0 oil.
