Snowball Cake
- 2 pkg. unflavored jello
- 4 tsp. cold water
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 c. sugar
- 3 tsp. juice of lemon
- 20 oz. can crushed pineapple
- 3 pkg. Dream Whip
- 1 large angel food cake
- Angel Flake coconut
- maraschino cherries
- Bake cake according to directions on box.
- Soften gelatin in cold water.
- Add boiling water.
- Stir to dissolve.
- Add sugar, lemon juice and undrained pineapple.
- Chill until partially set, about 45 minutes.
- Prepare 2 package of Dream Whip.
- Fold into mixture.
- Break cake into small pieces.
- Place pieces of cake and gelatin mixture in alternate layers in a long sheet cake pan.
- As you put layers together, take a spoon and press down.
- Chill overnight.
- Next day, prepare the other package of Dream Whip and spread over cake.
- Sprinkle coconut on cake and add cherries, if you so desire.
