Popup Pizza Casserole
- 20 slices turkey pepperoni, This is best because it is less greasy, but you can use regular if you wish
- 1 small sliced onion
- 15 ounces pizza sauce
- 1 (6 1/2 ounce) can sliced mushrooms
- 1 (4 ounce) cansliced black olives
- 1 small green pepper, chopped
- 12 lb lean Italian sausage, browned and well drained (optional)
- 1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated biscuits
- 1 12 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In bowl, combine sauce and all ingredients except cheese and biscuits.
- Cut biscuits into quarters.
- Add to mixture.
- Stir gently until biscuits are covered with sauce.
- Add half of the cheese.
- Mix until covered.
- Spray 9x9 baking dish with cooking spray.
- Spoon mixture into baking dish.
- Bake 30 minutes.
- Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake an additional 10 minutes or until biscuits are done.
- Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
