T'Jim's Butt-Struttin Sauce
- 1 tbsp canola or corn oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 clove garlic, minced
- 1 cup tomato puree
- 3/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 3/4 cup water
- 6 tbsp brown sugar
- 6 tbsp chili powder
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 3 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 3 tsp celery salt
- 1 tbsp prepared yellow mustard
- 1 tbsp ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp corn syrup
- 1 tbsp liquid smoke
- In a sauce pan, warm the oil over medium heat.
- Add the onion and garlic and saute until they are soft.
- About 5 minutes.
- Mix in the remaining ingredients and reduce the heat to low.
- Cook until the sauce thickens.
- About 30 minutes.
- Serve with T'Jim's Butt-Struttin Pulled Pork sandwiches.
