Super Easy Perfect Prime Rib

  1. Preheat oven to 500 degrees .
  2. Mix your seasonings together and rub all over the roast.
  3. Place into a covered roaster, fat side down.
  4. Cover with the lid.
  5. Bake the roast for 6 minutes per pound of meat, then turn off the oven.
  6. DO NOT OPEN THE OVEN FOR TWO HOURS!
  7. After 2 hours, open the oven and uncover the roast.
  8. Check the temperature of the roastif the reading is about 140 degrees , it is done.
  9. If it is lower than 140 degrees , place the cover back on and turn the oven back on to 375 degrees until roast reaches 140 degrees .
  10. You will have a perfect prime rib roast.
  11. It will get rarer towards the center to suit any taste.
  12. Serve with your favorite side dishes and everyone will think your are a great chef!
