Microwave Layered Fiesta Spread

  1. In a 10-inch microwave-safe pie plate, combine onion and ground beef.
  2. Cover with waxed paper and cook on High for 5 to 8 minutes until meat is done and onion is tender, stirring once. Drain off fat.
  3. Stir in chili powder and beans.
  4. Cook, covered, on High for 4 to 6 minutes until heated through; stir once.
  5. Spread avocado dip over meat mixture and cook, uncovered, on High for 3 to 4 minutes until hot.
  6. Give dish half turn once.
  7. Top with shredded cheese.
  8. Cook, uncovered, for 1 to 2 minutes until cheese is softened.
  9. Spoon sour cream over the cheese and serve with tortilla chips.
