Easy Poppy Seed Cake

  1. Cover

  3. seed
  4. with the 1 cup of boiling water and soak 5
  5. or
  6. 10 minutes.
  7. Drain well, using fine tea strainer. Discard the hot water.
  8. Combine the first five ingredients and beat
  9. well with
  10. mixer for 5 to 6 minutes.
  11. Pour into 2 well-greased
  12. and floured
  13. 9-inch
  14. cake pans.
  15. Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes.
  16. Cool completely.
  17. Split
  18. each
  19. layer
  20. and fill with lemon
  21. pudding
  22. and pie filling, mixed as directed on package. Pudding
  23. should
  24. also be
  25. cooled
  26. completely before spreading between layers.
  27. Pecans or
  28. coconut
  29. may
  30. be
  31. added on top of cake.
