Vidalia Sweet Onion Wedges

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Saute onions in butter until golden brown and tender.
  3. Separate rolls into triangles.
  4. Place in ungreased round 8-inch pan, pressing together to form an even crust on bottom and half way up the sides.
  5. Spread onions on top of dough.
  6. Season well with salt and pepper.
  7. Beat egg slightly: add evaporated milk
  8. Pour over onions.
  9. Bake for 20 50 25 minutes.
  10. Serve hot.
  11. Serves 6 to 8.
