Sweet & Spicy Fried Tofu with Grated Daikon Radish Sauce

  1. Peel the daikon and grate.
  2. Grate the ginger.
  3. Mix together the ingredients.
  4. Drain the grated daikon in a colander.
  5. Cut the shiso leaves into four.
  6. Slice thinly.
  7. Halve the tofu first and cut into a thickness of 1 cm.
  8. Coat both sides of tofu with flour.
  9. Heat 1 to 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a frying pan.
  10. Place the tofu in the pan and fry both sides until golden and crispy.
  11. When the tofu turns crispy, add the grated daikon.
  12. Pour in the mixed sauce ingredients and ginger juice.
  13. Move the frying pan around and reduce the sauce until the tofu absorbs the flavor.
  14. Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with the sliced shiso leaves on top.
