Sausage Meat Pie Recipe
- 1 pound bulk sausage
- 3 med. potatoes, peeled & sliced
- 2 med. onions, sliced
- 1 carrot, sliced
- 1 1/2 c. water
- Salt to taste
- 1 c. biscuit mix
- 1/4 c. cool water
- Cook sausage till browned, stirring to crumble.
- Drain well on paper towels; return to skillet.
- Add in vegetables, 1 1/2 c. water and salt; cover and simmer 15-20 min.
- Spoon meat mix and liquid into a 9 inch square baking dish.
- Combine biscuit mix and 1/4 c. cool water, stirring with a fork to make a soft dough; beat well 20 strokes.
- Place dough on a lightly floured surface; roll to a 9 inch square.
- Place on top of meat mix; cut slashes in crust to allow steam to escape.
- Bake at 450 degrees for 12-15 min.
