Tangy Cream Cheese Bites with Marinara Sauce
- 1 qt. PHILADELPHIA Original Cream Cheese
- 1-1/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 each eggs, beaten
- 1-1/3 cups dry bread crumbs
- 1 tsp. kosher salt
- 3 cups marinara sauce, heated
- 16 sprigs fresh basil leaves
- Shape cream cheese into 48 small balls (or into 12 balls for trial recipe), using 1-1/2 Tbsp.
- for each.
- Dredge in flour, dip in eggs, then in bread crumbs.
- Freeze 1 hour.
- For each shared appetizer: Fry 3 bites in 325 degrees F fryer 3 min.
- or until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Garnish each bite with a pinch of salt.
- Serve with 3 Tbsp.
- marinara sauce and a basil sprig.
