Homestyle Chicken 'N Biscuits
- 1 1/2 c. cubed chicken, cooked
- 1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese (6 oz.)
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 1/2 c. biscuit mix
- 2/3 c. milk
- 1 pkg. frozen mixed vegetables, thawed, cooked and drained
- 1 (2.8 oz.) can Durkee French fried onions
- Spray an 8 x 12-inch pan.
- Spread Tater Tots potatoes in bottom of baking dish.
- Preheat oven to 400u0b0.
- Combine chicken, 1 cup cheese, soup and milk.
- Pour into baking dish.
- Bake, covered, for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, combine in bowl biscuit mix, 2/3 cup milk and 1/2 of fried onions to form stiff dough.
- Spoon biscuit dough in 6 mounds around edges of dish.
- Bake, uncovered, for 15 to 20 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.
- Top biscuits with remaining cheese and onions; bake 1 to 3 minutes or until onions are golden brown.
- Makes 6 servings.
