Lace Cookies

  1. Heat oven to 325u0b0.
  2. Line baking sheet with foil; melt butter. Grind pecans (1 cup) and sugar in food processor.
  3. Combine nut mixture, flour, baking powder and salt.
  4. Beat together butter, vanilla and egg; stir into flour mixture.
  5. Mix well and divide batter into thirds.
  6. Chop cherries and raisins; stir into 1/3 of mix along with oats.
  7. Drop by teaspoonfuls about 3 inches apart. Bake about 8 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Drop next 1/3 of mix by teaspoonfuls.
  9. Flatten slightly and place a pecan half on top. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Drop remaining 1/3 of mix by teaspoon about 5 inches apart; flatten slightly.
  11. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
  12. Melt chocolate chips and drizzle melted chocolate over tops of plain cookies or all.
