Hearty Hamburger Soup

  1. Put first four ingredients into a 8-quart kettle with 2 c. water.
  2. Boil 15 min.
  3. Add 2 c. tomato juice, ground beef, cheese. Cook 5 min. longer or until cheese melts.
  4. Mix 1/4 c. flour and 1/2 c. water as thickening.
  5. Add to kettle of soup.
  6. Let cook until veggies are soft.
  7. Stir often, then add milk.
  8. Heat, but do not boil.
  9. Serve.
  10. Make 5 quarts.
  11. Delicious!
