Bourbon Baby Back Ribs Recipe

  1. Prepare barbecue (medium heat).
  2. Sprinkle ribs with salt, pepper and 1/2 tsp.
  3. cumin.
  4. Place ribs, meaty-side up, on grill.
  5. Cover and grill 10 min.
  6. Meanwhile, mix barbecue sauce, cilantro, onion, bourbon, chili pwdr and remaining 3/4 tsp.
  7. cumin in heavy small saucepan; bring to boil, stirring occasionally.
  8. Place saucepan at edge of grill to keep sauce hot.
  9. Turn ribs meaty-side down.
  10. Cover and grill till cooked through, about 10 min.
  11. Turn ribs over again; brush meaty side generously with sauce.
  12. Cover and grill ribs till sauce sets thickly, about 3 min longer.
  13. Divide ribs between plates.
  14. Serve with remaining sauce.
  15. This recipe yields 2 servings;
  16. can be doubled.
  17. Comments: Thin slices of sweet potato can be grilled alongside the ribs, then drizzled with maple syrup.
  18. Have coleslaw and corn bread on the side, too.
  19. End with lemon meringue pie.
