Mary Warner Peppermint Meringue Cookies Recipe

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees for at least 15 min.
  2. Beat egg whites till frothy.
  3. Add in salt and cream of tartar; beat till stiff.
  4. Gradually beat in sugar.
  5. Mix in flavoring, coloring, and chocolate bits.
  6. Drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheets.
  7. Place in oven and turn off the oven.
  8. Leave in oven overnight or possibly at least 6 hrs.
