Hotdog Panini
- 4 whole All Beef Bun Size Franks
- 1 whole Medium Onion, Sliced, Grilled In Pan
- 4 slices Rye Bread
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 2 Tablespoons Spicy Brown Mustard
- 4 slices Pepper Jack Cheese
- Heat grill pan to medium-high.
- Slice hotdogs halfway through and flatten to open up.
- Grill the hotdogs in pan until browned and heated through with grill marks visible.
- Remove from pan.
- Grill the onions, remove from pan and pull apart.
- Turn pan to medium heat.
- Begin to assemble sandwich by buttering the outside of four slices of rye bread.
- Put two slices in the heated pan, butter side down.
- Spread 1/4 of the mustard on each slice of bread (the non-buttered side).
- Then place two grilled dogs, opened up, on each slice of bread, lengthwise.
- Top with two slices of Pepper Jack cheese, more mustard, grilled onions, and top with next slice of bread, buttered side up.
- Grill sandwich on both sides, cut in half, only for neatness sake, and serve up hot and toasty!
