Peggy's French Loaf Recipe
- 1 loaf French bread
- 1 pound grnd beef, browned
- Diced onion
- Salt, pepper, oregano
- 1 can Cheddar cheese soup
- 1 sm. can stewed tomatoes
- 1 sm. can tomato sauce (if you like)
- Grated Mozzarella cheese
- Brown beef, onion and seasonings, drain.
- Add in soup, mushrooms and tomatoes.
- Simmer to cook down if too juicy.
- Cut French loaf, dig out bread and add in to grnd beef mix.
- Put mix in loaf and bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 min.
- Top with Mozzarella cheese and heat.
- Put on top of loaf for last 3-5 min.
- Serves 6-8.
