Beet and Tomato Casserole

  1. Put 1/2 beets in bottom of greased baking dish.
  2. Add half the tomatoes then half the cheese in layers.
  3. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  4. Add 1/2 bread crumbs.
  5. Dot with 1 tablespoon fat.
  6. Repeat.
  7. Brown in moderate oven 350F (180C) F, 20 minutes.
