Hot Macaroni Salad(Good Cold Too)
- 1 (14 oz.) pkg. deluxe macaroni and cheese dinner
- 2 qt. boiling water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 to 2 c. diced, cooked turkey or ham
- 1 c. sliced celery
- 1 c. mayonnaise
- 1/2 c. slivered almonds
- 1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
- 1 (2 oz.) jar pimento, drained and chopped
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp. grated onion
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 can French fried onion rings
- Cook macaroni in boiling water and salt.
- Drain and continue to prepare macaroni and cheese according to package.
- Stir in remaining ingredients except onion rings.
- Pour into greased 2-quart casserole.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes.
- Top with onion rings and bake 5 to 10 minutes more.
