Cabbage Noodles
- 4 slices bacon
- 12 lb wide egg noodles
- 18 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups cabbage (sliced or shredded)
- 4 tablespoons butter (or oleo)
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 pinch pepper (about 1/8 tsp.)
- Fry bacon and remove from pan.
- Chop or crumble and set aside.
- Add cabbage to drippings.
- Cook until tender.
- Cook noodles following the package specifications.
- Drain and add to cabbage.
- Add bacon, salt, pepper, sugar and butter.
- Put into casserole dish and bake for 20 minutes at 325 degrees F.
