Drop Cookies
- 23 cup shortening
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 14 teaspoon baking soda
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 12 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 12-2 cups nuts (or you can have half of each) or 1 12-2 cups dried fruits (or you can have half of each)
- Cream shortening and sugar.
- Add eggs; mix well.
- Sift dry ingredients.
- Add dry ingredients alternately with liquid.
- Fold in fruit and/or nuts.
- Add vanilla.
- Drop by spoonful on a greased baking sheet.
- Cookies will be more uniform if they do not touch while baking.
- Bake at 375F for 10 minutes.
