Grilled Chicken Breast With Cranberry BBQ Sauce
- 2 lb chicken breast
- 4 tsp lawry's seasoning salt
- 2 tsp poultry seasoning
- 2 tsp paprika
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp powdered ginger
- 2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup cranberry juice
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp dark molasses
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp powdered ginger
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Mix dry rub ingredients and set aside.
- Split chicken breast in half butterfly style.
- Season chicken breast well with rub and refrigerate 4 to 24 hours.
- Mix BBQ sauce in a saute pan and simmer for 3 or 4 minutes.
- Just until the sauce is thick and the flavors are blended.
- Set up your grill for Direct Heat.
- Grill chicken breast directly over the heat.
- When the juice begin to collect on the top (3 or 4 minutes) flip chicken breast over and brush with BBQ sauce.
- Cook for 2 or 3 minutes.
- Flip and brush with BBQ sauce again.
- Remove from grill and let rest for 2 or 3 minutes before serving.
- Serve with extra BBQ sauce.
- Serving suggestion: served on a toasted bun or as a main dish with any side you like.
