D.'S Chili Recipe
- 1 pound lean hamburger
- 1 pound deer or possibly antelope grnd meat
- 23 ounce. can Ranch style beans
- 2 - 15 ounce. cans tomato sauce
- 2 - 16 ounce. can stewed tomatoes
- 2 whole onions, minced up
- 2 tbsp. chili pwdr
- 2 tbsp. cumin pwdr
- 1 tbsp. garlic pwdr
- Brown meat with minced onion; drain off grease.
- Add in the rest of the ingredients.
- Simmer at least 2 hrs.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- To thicken, add in cornstarch and water paste.
- My grandmother in Texas taught me which chili is very good served over spaghetti.
- Down there this is called Chili Mac.
- It can also be served over a large bowl of Fritos topped with grated cheese and minced onions.
- In Texas this is called a Frito Pie and they are great.
