Potato Patties
- mashed potatoes
- salt pepper
- milk
- 1 or 2 eggs, beaten (depends on amount of mashed potatoes)
- minced onion (optional)
- oil for frying
- This is one of those old homestyle dishes my mother made and her grandchildren love.
- This is a little more detailed than the other submission but the primary guidelines are: season to taste, use the egg as a binding agent, and thin the potatoes with milk only until a workable consistency for fashioning the patties.
- Heat a small amount of cooking oil in a pan and brown potato patties on both sides.
- Hope this helps.
