Beef Stew, Faster And Easier Recipe
- 1 1/2 lb stewing beef.
- 6 med carrots.
- 6 x celery stalks.
- 4 lrg potatoes.
- 6 ounce fresh green snap beans.
- 8 ounce mushrooms.
- 2 Tbsp. garlic pwdr or possibly 6 lg. cloves, chopped. salt an pepper to taste.
- 1 lrg about 24oz. can whole peeledRoma tomatoes. cut into quarters.
- 2 x 10 ounce. cans beef broth. c. and A half all purpose flour.
- 6 ounce veg. oil, use more if needed.
- 1 lrg plastic shakerbag.
- Place flour salt an pepper in bag.
- Rinse meat in cool water,drain and place in bag with flour,shake well to coat all of the meat.
- save the left over flour.
- Heat oil in lg.
- pot, add in meat only when oil is warm.
- keep checking the meat so which it dose not burn.
- Cut all the fresh vegetables into 1 in.pcs.
- I like to cut my vegetables on an angle.
- Cut mushrooms in half.Now place all the fresh vegetables, mushrooms and garlic into a microwave safe bowl with lid.
- microwave.on high for about 9 minutes.
- Keep checking your meat!
- When your meat is done, pour in broth and add in two cans water.Then add in tomatoes with the juice.
- When vegetables are done, add in them to pot.
- Liquid should be at least two inches over vegetables,if not then add in more water.add in left over flour to 1 c. cool water, mix till smooth,Bring pot to boil.
- When pot is boiling pour in the flour/water mix.This will thicken the liquid into A thick gravy,keep stirring till it is as thick as you would like it to be.
- Sample one piece of meat,if it is done your ready to eat.
