Grilled Asparagus With Saffron Aioli

  1. Aioli: Whisk vinegr honey, and saffron threads in small saucepan over medium high heat.
  2. Bring to boil.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Cool completely.
  5. Combine and season with salt and pepper (Can be made 1 day ahead, cover and chill).
  6. Toss asparagus with oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  7. Grease the grill with either Pam or olive oil.
  8. Place asparagus directly on the grill and cook until crisp tender, turning occasionally, about 5 minutes.
  9. Transfer to platter.
  10. Drizzle aioli over asparagus.
  11. Sprinkle with pepper.
  12. Asparagus can be served hot or at room temperature.
