Stack-In-A-Pot Stew

  1. Lightly brown ground beef, in a medium saucepan.
  2. Stir in garlic.
  3. Layer onion and tomatoes on top.
  4. Pour on black-eyed peas, liquid and all.
  5. Cover and bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat and simmer for thirty minutes, without stirring.
  7. Stew is done when the tomatoes are cooked.
  8. Ladle into serving bowls.
