Mejaddarah- Syrian recipe
- 2 cup white rice
- 1/2 cup boiled brown lentils
- 2 onion chopped slides
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 3 cup hot water
- 2 cubes of chicken stock
- pinch salt
- Put 2 cups of white rice in a bowl and rinse it then drench it for 10 minutes then sift it
- In a medium pot put a little bit of vegetable oil and put the lentils and the rice and stir a little
- Melt the chicken stock with 3 cups of water then add it to the rice mixture then add salt for seasoning
- Cover the pot and let it cook for 15 to 20 minutes on a low heat
- In a pan put a little bit of vegetable oil and add the chopped onion and stir until golden brown
- Put it in the serving dish and put the onions on the top
