Beef Ragout A La Deutch Recipe
- 1 3/4 pound beef sirloin, cut in 1/2 inch strips
- Butter
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 1/4 pound mushrooms, sliced
- 1 c. brown gravy
- 1/2 c. white wine
- 1 (4 ounce.) jar pimiento
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Dash warm pepper sauce
- Dash Worcestershire sauce
- Noodles or possibly rice
- Saute/fry the beef strips, green pepper and mushrooms in a small amount of butter.
- Add in the gravy, wine, pimiento, salt, pepper sauce and Worcestershire sauce.
- Cover and simmer till tender.
- Thicken with cornstarch or possibly flour.
- Serve over rice or possibly noodles.
