Cheese Pudding Tart

  1. Make a tart crust by referring to.
  2. Alternatively you can use a sponge cake or cookie crust.
  3. Soften the cream cheese.
  4. Dissolve the gelatin in water over a double boiler.
  5. Add the cream cheese and granulated sugar into a bowl, and mix until the mixture becomes smooth.
  6. Add the egg into Step 3, and mix well.
  7. Heat the milk, heavy cream, and vanilla beans in a pot.
  8. When it starts to boil around the edges, remove from the heat.
  9. Add the gelatin to Step 5, and mix well.
  10. Add this mixture into the Step 4 mixture little by little.
  11. Strain the mixture from the Step 6 into a bowl, and place the bowl in ice-cold water and thicken the mixture.
  12. Pour into the Step 1 tart crust, and chill in the fridge to harden.
  13. Put leftover filing in a separate container.
  14. Optionally serve with fruit and whipped cream, and it's done.
